Early Childhood Music
As an early childhood music teacher, I am thrilled to bring meaningful music to the lives of little ones through movement and play. I am fascinated by the ways young children interact with music and their extraordinary abilities to absorb and engage with high level musical content.

Stay tuned for the Playdate with Kate
2026 debut album release!
Songs for kids and families. This album is sure to engage little ones and their grownups, with catchy movement-based songs (Rain Comin’ Down!), interactive instrument songs (Jingle Bug), storytelling songs (Kate the Cow), and classical-music-inspired songs (The Planets of the Solar System set to famous Mozart melodies). There is truly something for everyone! Every song on this album was written for the Clap for Classics early childhood music curriculum.
Listen to my single, "I Like Pie"
Produced by Jesse Lewis, featuring Brittany Karlson on bass, and Kip Jones on percussion, extra vocals by Imogene and Ernest Lieppman, trumpet and additional percussion by Jesse Lewis.
Family Friendly Event Entertainment
As a children’s entertainer, I love to engage kids and families with a blend of familiar favorites, easy-to-follow songs with lots of movement and action, and original songs that are likely to get stuck in your head (ever heard my “Mac n Cheese” song?).

Preschool Concert Series
From the concert stage to the circle time rug, my many years of varied performing and teaching experience come together in an inspiring, kid-friendly, interactive concert program designed for preschoolers or early elementary school students. Students learn about concert etiquette and concert traditions as they experience high level piano performances presented in an engaging way, mixed with more traditional “kids’ music”. We use our imaginations and move our bodies together as we experience the excitement and power of live music.
Choose between two shows:
-
“Look Up!” features songs about the moon, stars, and clouds, including a journey through space with Mozart’s Variations on “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, and a song about a frog who wants to go to space, but learns again and again how gravity keeps him grounded.
-
“Cat Classics” features songs about cats and mice. Classical pieces include Aaron Copland’s “The Cat and the Mouse” and Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona’s “Black Cat”. Kids will jam along with an original kitty cat song that will have you meowing all day long, and finish with a mac n cheese dance party (for the mice, of course!).
